In 1976, Larry Matranga bought Patrick's — a downtown club he hoped to turn into a hotspot for good times and great live music with a friendly, neighborhood style. After moving to its present location, things really took off, and Patrick's II established a tradition of bringing the finest music to the Gaslamp every night of the week.
After their recent remodeling, Patrick's II has a brand new look, but they're the same where it counts:
Larry & his son, Mario, still tend the bar (when he's not looking for new talent),
The Patrick's II longtime staff members still know the patrons by name, and
